The CARFAX 400 is one of the two NASCAR Sprint Cup races run at one of the sport’s fastest ovals, Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. Michigan International Speedway and the Carfax 400 are viewed as the top race and track of the NASCAR racing season.
Michigan International Speedway is the main track for NASCAR but has been known to be the base track of the Auto Club Speedway. Although there is nothing particularly unique
about the configuration of Michigan International, the two-mile superspeedway allows drivers to easily exceed 200 mph and that makes for some of the most thrilling races on the NASCAR schedule.
Michigan International is known not only for being a fast track, but also one that occasionally produces spectacular crashes. Back in ’03, Kurt Busch and Todd Bodine hit the wall in turn 2 and ended up in a fiery crash, but thankfully both drivers walked away from it with no injuries.
The Carfax 400 has been referred to previously as: the Miller High Life 400, the Miller Genuine Draft 400, the K-Mart 400, and in 2005, the Batman Begins 400. The excitement of a car race, however, remains the same.

NASCAR Carfax 400 Winners and Results
2010 Carfax 400 Winner
Sprint Cup Leader Kevin Harvick wins Carfax 400. Harvick passed Denny Hamlin with 11 laps to go Sunday, then held on to win the Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Harvick’s No. 29 team gambled by staying on the track instead of making a pit stop during a late caution period. The move paid off, resulting in Harvick’s third victory of the season and his first this year on a track that does not require restrictor plates.
2009 Carfax 400 Winner
Brian Vickers earned his second career Sprint Cup Series victory with the 2009 Carfax 400 success. Vickers started on the pole for Toyota, held off Jeff Gordon by 1.4 seconds. Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished third, moving up from sixth place in the final 20 laps. Carl Edwards and Sam Hornish Jr. rounded out the top five.
